<p>Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey recently described how working as an emergency dispatcher in New York City inspired Twitter’s model, citing paper sketching as the key behind turning ideas, even non-visual ideas, into moving products.<span> </span></p>
<p>Dorsey spoke at the <a href="http://the99percent.com/">The 99% Conference</a>, the full video of which you’ll find below. His full statement on the power of drawing ideas is worth pulling out:</p>
<blockquote><p>Start drawing your ideas. Start getting it out of your head, and seeing it from a completely different perspective, and more importantly, sharing it with others.</p></blockquote>
<p>It’s similar to how other productive types view the power of paper, including developer and blogger Christopher Schanck’s theory that <a href="http://www.lifehacker.com.au/2010/02/it-didnt-happen-if-you-didnt-write-it-down/">it didn’t happen if you don’t write it down</a>.
